Another new baby in the family!!!

Angie and Gilles have announced that they are expecting a little one in Spring of next year! We are so happy for them. Can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl!!!
Now we'll have two babies to love instead of one!!!

Getting Things Ready...

We've been working on Aislin's bedroom and just have a few more finishing touches to add..Mom that means your artistic flare! Here are a couple of pictures of the work in progress.

Also the last batch of referrals that went out the babies really had a wide range of ages, some are about 6 months old and some are up to 18 months old. We requested as young as possible but that really doesn't mean too much, you are proposed a child that they believe is a good match for you. So we are anxious to find out who our little peanut is! As we get closer to our date we get a little more anxious, which I guess is normal. Emotions are a little closer to the surface and nerves are a little shakier. We suddenly realize all the things we don't have yet, and better get cracking. We have to hold off on diapers, formula and clothes because we have no idea what size she is yet. That's tough because it's a little girls world out there for clothes! Can't wait!!!

It's Been One Year Today...

It's been one year today since our paperwork was logged in China, we thought Aislin would be home by now but apparently she's not ready. So tonight we are going out for Chinese Food, not really to celebrate that it's been a year but more of in recognition that it's been one year...ah maybe we'll just drink a whole bunch and call y'all instead! Just kidding.
And to get bad news on this date was particularly rough, referrals are out, and they only cover July 14-22nd, which is really disappointing, it's a slow down from last month and not nearly as far as we'd hoped they get to give us a September referral. Oh well we keep our chins up for another month...she has to come home sometime...doesn't she?????

Angie & Gilles July 29th, 2006

We are back from Calgary and let me say, it was such a beautiful wedding. There was so much fun and love packed into those few days! Angie of course looked beautiful and I have 157 pictures to prove it...Angie and Gilles were married in a Gazebo next to a river with a great big fountain in the river, so the scenery was beautiful as well as the weather...sunny and hot! There were over 300 roses of all different colors decorating the tables and outdoors and instead of a wedding cake, they had cupcakes on a tiered platter with a top cake decorated with fresh flowers...it was so unique and pretty. It was an emotional day to say the least and we are oh so happy for the new Mr. and Mrs. Boire!!!

Referrals were also released while we were away, they cover from June 28-July 13. So things are still keeping up. The CCAA has apparently finished their move to a new office, so that should also help keep things on track or speed them up a bit. Hopefully they will send out more referrals before the end of August....
