I have internet for a few minutes

Our darling daughter is beautiful...she is beyond what we could have imagined. She didn't cry a bit when she was placed in our arms, instead she was laughing up a storm. She slept pretty much through the night last night, we are having some issues with eating but we're working them out. Oh she's soooo tiny, so we are trying to get vitamins into her to make sure she stays healthy. She is a bit delayed in that she can't stand on her own yet but she crawls, sits up, stands up holding on to something. She doesn't like to be alone. But when she laughs it's like nothing you've ever heard....
Our adoption was official today as well. We had alot of meetings and were asked if we are happy with her and if we will ever abandon her....not in a million years...of course I cried the whole time.
anyway, i will try again to update you all as internet access is available. it's slow at best and the business centres computers don't always work...it sure is beautiful here...I wish I could put some pictures on but you'll have to wait until we come home....
Thank you to my Mom for posting for us last night, we called home so she could hear her Granddaughter's voice. Can't wait for you all to meet this little angel!
Love and Hugs from Guangzhou..

I can hear the excitement and love in your voice. I am so glad that she is adjusting well......but we knew she would! We are looking forward to hearing that laugh and seeing that smile. Enjoy your time in China and take lots of pictures. Can't wait to see all of you.

Love the Whites

p.s. We decided or should I say the kids decided that they want to go to the airport as well. You should see the excitement in their faces. They are just as excited, if not more, than I am. Mike was thrilled as well that he gets to go to the airport too. I think he was feeling a bit left out.lol

What a great update! So very glad that things are going well for all of you. I had a nice chat with a friend here who adopted from China last year. What an experience! Her daughter couldn't be left alone without getting upset either.

Don't sweat the walking stuff. She's a little pixie and will get it eventually. My Molly rarely crawled, never cruised furniture and didn't take a step until 18 mos. And now she's my ballerina. Aislin's day will come. In the meantime, I'm sure you won't mind a bit having to keep her in your arms!

Enjoy the rest of your trip and take as many pictures as you can - this is Aislin's homeland and you'll cherish these times as she gets older.

Oh, and Brenna wants to add that she knows 2 girls through her Irish dance classes named Aislin/Aislinn - only they pronounce it in Gaelic ways - one is Ash-lin and the other Ash-ling. She thinks it's cool!
